Work from home in style….
The loft
…..when we designed our home, the plan for the loft was to become our daughters space. Ideas ranged from a playroom, media room and eventually her bedroom…a space for her to get away, be creative, listen to music, sleepovers, a total hangout space. Well, that changed very quickly this year….
As a creative person, I’m constantly thinking about function and style…sometimes my husband calls them “crazy ideas”….a space needs to be functional, organized and aesthetically pleasing, a space you always want to be in….
So with all the time we were granted this year, the loft became one of many projects. It became our WFH space….this room provides a lot of natural light and it was the natural space for what we needed at that moment in time.
A way to keep order to the already chaotic world we were living. Desperately needed home life balance….needed a place to walk away for the day and come back with a fresh mind and new perspective…but most of all a place where we can all chill and cozy up at any given time!!!
So here we are….totally loving it!

Styling this room also meant adding some whimsical pieces that reminded us of our daughter.

When I started with this project, I struggled to find the right shelves, desk, storage space and the right chairs for two completely different people with two completely different styles, but most importantly I wanted it to work for both of us…..so what did I do….I enlisted the help of my super talented and handy husband. He built, installed shelves, desk top to my exact specifications.
Build it.
A space for my craft…A space to be creative…. or a space for your furry friends to hang….
